The Field Hockey Goalkeepers' Manual project

I've locked this wiki so there's no more editing until the project organizers decide to start using this. In the meantime, go to http://www.fieldhockeyforum.com/index.php/topic,1154.0.html to see the progress!!

Let's start by building a list of ManualTopics to be included (chapters?). While this project will involve lots of people giving input on many topics, we'll probably move faster if one or two people volunteer to be a primary author for any given topic. So go to the ManualTopics page and add to the list of topics. Add your name if you're volunteering to do a big chunk of the work on that topic (or volunteer someone else by putting their name iwrth a question mark after it. They can remove the question mark or remove their name. (By "name" I mean anything that identifies someone. Some of us are using real names, some choose not to. So be it.)

I set up this page after the idea for a goalkeepers' guide was posted on http://www.fieldhockeyforum.com by Andy Gaut. See http://www.fieldhockeyforum.com/index.php/topic,1122.0.html for that thread. If by any chance you found this page and aren't on FHF, you probably should be.

If this project gets anywhere, it would be nice to be able to distribute it in other forms (paper, web site, CD ...). Therefore, by contributing here you are agreeing to the following conditions:

1. Your contributions are your own, i.e. you haven't copied information that was created by someone else or to which anyone else holds copyright. (It can be something that has been published elsewhere as long as you still retain the right to use that material and let others publish it.)

2. You give permission for the use of your contributions on this site not only here but also for republication in other formats. (I don't want the group to create a great manual that we can't distribute because we don't have permission.)

I don't think we need a lot of rules. Field Hockey Forum is where the discussion of such a project originated and it's a great tool for discussion. But a wiki may be a better tool for collaboratively working on a single document together. I suggest we use both tools together. Contribute here, discuss there. I think we can come up with a useful manual.

Let's get going: ManualTopics
